1 Registration & Eligibility
To register as a delivery partner with Route 8 Logistics, the following is required:
- Drivers must submit a valid Commercial Driving Licence, Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account details, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), valid Fitness Certificate, Insurance Certificate, and National Permit (for interstate vehicles).
- If the vehicle is not registered in the driver's name (e.g., it belongs to a parent or another individual), the driver must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the registered owner authorizing the use of the vehicle.
- Only commercially registered vehicles (yellow board) are permitted for operations.
- Drivers shall provide accurate and complete information and valid supporting documents during registration. Submission of false, forged, expired, or misleading information or documents may result in rejection or cancellation of registration.
- Drivers shall not have any legal disqualification or serious criminal conviction that would prevent them from lawfully performing transportation services. The Company reserves the right to conduct document verification and background checks where permitted by applicable law.
- Submission of a registration application does not guarantee approval. The Company reserves the right to approve, reject, or request additional information or documents at its sole discretion.
- Registration shall be deemed successful only after the Company has completed the verification of the submitted documents and formally approved the driver's application.
- Upon successful registration, the Company shall notify the Driver of the registration approval through the registered mobile number, email address, phone call, or any other communication method deemed appropriate by the Company.
- Drivers may cancel their registration with the Company at any time by providing prior notice and completing any pending trips, payments, or obligations.
By registering with the company, drivers agree to be bound by and comply with all applicable Terms & Conditions, policies, and operational guidelines of Route 8 Logistics.
2 Vehicle Requirements
- Drivers must ensure vehicles are roadworthy, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable transport regulations at all times.
- Drivers are permitted to perform delivery services only using the vehicle that is registered and approved by the company.
- In the event of a vehicle breakdown, servicing, or any other unforeseen circumstance, another vehicle may be arranged after informing the company and obtaining prior approval.
- If a driver is found operating a vehicle that is not registered with the company, the company reserves the right to suspend or terminate the driver's services immediately.
⚠ Note: Operating a vehicle that is either not registered with or not approved by Route 8 Logistics will result in immediate suspension or termination.
3 Trip Allocation & Completion
- Trips may be allocated as either one-way or round-trip services, depending on operational requirements.
- Upon confirmation of a user booking, Route 8 Logistics shall allocate the trip to a driver at its discretion, based on location and operational considerations. Sender details will be disclosed only to the assigned driver.
- Drivers shall use customer and sender details strictly for the purpose of completing the allocated trip. Misuse of customer information for any unauthorised, illegal, personal, or fraudulent activities is strictly prohibited.
- The driver shall inform the company before loading if the customer's goods are not properly packed or secured and ask the customer to correct the packing to ensure safe transportation.
- Any involvement in illegal activities, harassment, unauthorised contact, or misuse of customer details will result in immediate termination of the driver's contract and may lead to legal action.
- Drivers are required to accept and complete all trips allocated by Route 8 Logistics.
- Drivers may enable GPS/location services when they are available to perform assigned trips and may disable them when they are not operating.
- Drivers' location details may be monitored by Route 8 Logistics during assigned trips for internal operational purposes, including route optimisation, trip coordination, safety monitoring, and service management.
4 Cancellation Policy
- Drivers are expected to complete all trips allocated to them.
- Drivers may cancel an assigned trip if they are unable or unwilling to complete it.
⚠ Warning: Drivers are expected to maintain a consistent level of service. Cancellation of four (4) allocated trips within a calendar month or three (3) consecutive allocated trips may result in the suspension of the driver's registration for a period of one (1) month.
5 Payment & Earnings
- Drivers shall receive payment from the company only upon successful completion of the assigned trip.
- The fare communicated by the company for each trip is final and includes all applicable charges. Drivers are not entitled to claim or request any additional payment beyond the communicated fare under any circumstances.
- Driver payments will be credited only to the bank account provided during the registration process.
- The mobile number registered with the company must be linked to the bank account provided for receiving payments.
- If there is any change to the driver's bank account details or registered mobile number, the driver must notify Route 8 Logistics immediately.
- Any request to update bank account or payment details will be verified and processed within 2–3 business days. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that their payment details are accurate and up to date.
6 Code of Conduct
- Drivers must maintain professional conduct and must not engage in harassment, discrimination, abusive behaviour, or any form of misconduct towards customers.
- Drivers must comply with all applicable traffic laws and road safety regulations. Drivers must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, engage in reckless or negligent driving, exceed prescribed speed limits, or operate a vehicle while fatigued or otherwise unfit to drive.
- Drivers are solely responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and adequately rested before undertaking any trip. Route 8 Logistics shall not be liable for any traffic violations, accidents, penalties, fines, or legal consequences arising from the driver's failure to comply with this policy.
- Drivers must operate their vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
- In the event of an accident, vehicle breakdown, or any emergency, drivers must immediately notify Route 8 Logistics.
- Drivers are not subject to fixed working hours or specific working days and may choose to operate at their convenience.
⚠ Note: Any violation of these conduct standards may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent cancellation of the driver's registration with Route 8 Logistics.
7 Prohibited Items
Any shipment found to contain dangerous, hazardous, illegal, or prohibited items shall be considered a serious violation of company policy. Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
- Explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids (petrol, diesel, thinner)
- Gas cylinders, chemicals, acids
- Narcotics, illegal drugs, firearms, ammunition
- Counterfeit goods, cash, gold, precious stones
- Loose lithium batteries
- Alcohol (without licence), tobacco (without authorisation)
- Biohazard materials
- Any item restricted or prohibited under applicable laws
- Drivers must not knowingly transport any prohibited or restricted item.
- If a customer pressures, threatens, or forces a driver to transport a prohibited item, the driver must immediately bring the matter to the attention of Route 8 Logistics.
⚠ Serious Violation: Transportation of prohibited items will result in immediate and permanent termination of the driver's registration and may attract legal action under applicable jurisdiction.
8 Liability & Safety
- The company will make every effort to ensure that goods are handled safely and delivered to the destination. However, the company will not be responsible for any delay or service interruption caused by circumstances beyond its control, including accidents, traffic conditions, vehicle breakdowns, mechanical issues, or road conditions.
- In case of theft, loss, or damage during transit, responsibility will be decided based on the reason for the incident and the role of the company or driver, as per applicable laws and company policies.
- Route 8 Logistics may provide transportation services through its own fleet or authorised transport partners, depending on operational requirements and vehicle availability.
- Route 8 Logistics reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or reassign any trip due to operational, safety, legal, or other reasonable business requirements. Wherever practicable, affected parties will be informed in advance.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
9 Maximum Payload Limits
The approved maximum payload capacity is defined as follows. Exceeding these limits will constitute a violation of company policy and shall be solely the driver's responsibility:

⚠ Note: The driver shall not carry any load exceeding the permitted legal limit.
If excess loading occurs due to the driver's actions without the company's authorization, the driver shall be responsible for the resulting consequences.
