Route 8 Logistics collects personal data from customers, drivers as necessary to provide our logistics and delivery services. The data collected includes:
- Information We Collect from Customers: Full name, contact number, email address (if provided), full pickup address, full delivery address, goods/shipment details, and payment information (where applicable).
- Information We Collect from Drivers: Full name, contact number, email address (if provided), full residential address, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Commercial Driving Licence, bank account details, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), Fitness Certificate, Insurance Certificate, National Permit (where applicable), vehicle details, and other registration and verification documents.
- Description of the goods being shipped, including the product type, quantity, dimensions, weight, and any special handling requirements.
2 Use of Personal Data
Personal data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Processing and confirming bookings
- Coordinating pickup and delivery operations
- Disclosing sender details to the assigned driver for the sole purpose of completing the allocated trip
- Sending electronically generated invoices via Email and WhatsApp
- Communicating service notices or policy updates
- Compliance with applicable statutory, GST, and legal documentation requirements
3 Sharing of Information
All personal data collected from Customers and Drivers shall be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The Company shall use such information only for legitimate business purposes and shall not disclose, sell, or share personal data with any unauthorised third party, except where required by law or with the individual's consent.
4 Data Protection
- Route 8 Logistics is committed to protecting the personal data and privacy of all users and operates in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Any personal information collected by Route 8 Logistics shall be used only for legitimate business, operational, legal, and regulatory purposes.
- Drivers, customers, and other users shall maintain the confidentiality of personal information and shall not misuse, disclose, or use such information for any purpose other than the services provided through the platform.
5 Payment Security
To protect customers from fraud, the following payment safeguards are in place:
- All payments must be made strictly through the Company's authorised payment methods, including the official QR code provided to the customer, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, or direct bank transfer to the Company's registered bank account.
- The company does not request or accept payments made directly to any individual's personal account under any circumstances.
- The company shall not be responsible for any payments made directly to a driver or any personal account by the customer.
- Payments shall be considered valid only when the amount is successfully credited to Route 8 Logistics' official account. In case of any payment-related issue, failed transaction, delay, or discrepancy, customers must contact Route 8 Logistics directly for assistance and resolution.
- All invoices will be electronically generated and shared via Email and WhatsApp. Being system-generated, these invoices do not require a signature.
6 Policy Updates
Route 8 Logistics reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these policies at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, operational practices, or business needs. Any revised policy will become effective upon publication on the Company's official website or platform. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of the revised terms and policies.
We encourage users to review these policies periodically to remain informed about any changes and to understand how Route 8 Logistics collects, uses, protects, and manages information, as well as the terms governing the use of our services.
7 Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India. Any questions, concerns, or disputes relating to the collection, use, storage, or protection of personal data shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
